A day after the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon started the “moderate” rebels of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Syria woke up and attacked towards Aleppo.
The precursor organization of HTS was Jabhat al-Nusra, an al-Qaeda’s affiliate, and its leader was notorious terrorist Abu Mohammad al-Jolani. Conveniently, just like thhe Kurdish terror organisation PKK which renamed itself YPG, Jabhat al-Nusra changed its name to HTS and become this a US ally. In a surprise move HTS was able to occupy dozens of settlements and at least one large military base of the Syrian army. Syrian & Russian warplanes are now carrying out air raids along the western Aleppo countryside axis, focusing on gatherings & HQs of US-backed terrorists around Darat Izza.
