What are these alternative Belgian media outlets, and why should you read and support them?
We are living in tumultuous times. Since World War II, the European political system has never been as fragile and divided as it is today.
Here in Belgium, we are still without a government several months after the elections. Germany’s unpopular government has just fallen: a coalition of the SPD and Greens that drove Germany’s economy into turmoil and involved the country in a proxy war against Russia. In France, a left-wing coalition was elected, but President Macron never allowed it to form a government. The leader remains firmly in place, much like in Ukraine, where President Zelensky continues without a clear political mandate. Meanwhile, he sells his country to global elites and sends his soldiers into the battlefield. In the UK, the political system is deeply troubled, with Keir Starmer leading an extremely unpopular program inspired by the World Economic Forum. No Prime Minister in British history has seen their approval rating drop as fast; the latest poll I saw placed him at just 13%. Then there’s Romania, where the right won the elections. But when the results were not well-received, the elections were simply annulled. Finally, there’s the European Union. The recent EU elections were a clear rebuke to Ursula von der Leyen and her Eurocentric coalition. So what did the member states do? During a secret Wednesday night meeting, they reappointed her for another five years. No alternative candidates were even proposed. What, then, is the point of our elections?
Were you aware of these developments? If you rely solely on mainstream media, you might think everything is fine and that our democratic model remains a shining example for the world.
And this leads to a fundamental problem: democracy cannot function without a free press. Our mainstream media no longer fulfil their mission of providing critical and unbiased information. If they don’t lie outright, they mislead us through omission.
Mainstream newspapers and media dictate what you should think:
- Putin is bad, Trump is bad, Zelensky is good.
- In Syria, the new leader Al Golani, formerly of ISIS/Al Nusra, is now described as moderate and good, while Assad is bad.
- Israel is good; their actions against Palestinians are labeled self-defence, while Hamas is bad, and all Palestinians are portrayed as Hamas supporters.
- Initiatives like GoodMove and EVRAS are unquestionably good!
Words like peace, democracy, and freedom have become hollow shells.
The decline of traditional media began with the advent of private television and was accelerated by the rise of the Internet. Media moguls began buying up their competitors, leaving only a handful of players. In Belgium, the entire media landscape is controlled by two families, both of which echo the globalist narrative dictated by major agencies like AP, Reuters, and AFP. In Belgium, the narrative is largely shaped by RTBF, which is deeply entrenched in the establishment.
When we conducted the EVRAS survey, we reached out to the press. Only alternative media covered the topic. The mainstream media initially ignored us. But once the public began to take notice, the coverage shifted dramatically. On the orders of then-Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, efforts were made to identify the “anti-EVRAS network.” Our citizens’ initiative was treated like a terrorist organization. Within days, a notorious RTBF article appeared. Afterward, every Belgian newspaper and news channel picked up the story. The goal was to conduct damage control and "reeducate" the Belgian population on the benefits of the WOKE agenda in schools.
Now is the time to turn away from mainstream media and explore the "new" alternative media:
