Forgive Them, They Know Not What They Do?

On the End of the War in Ukraine

The momentum that drove the European Union at the end of World War II was based on one principle: "Never again." Seventy years later, the assessment is cruel. Behind the banner of peace between European peoples, the citizens of the Old Continent have paid a heavy price for this so-called community ideal.

Loss of sovereignty, loss of purchasing power, a catastrophic transition to the Euro—an economically spineless currency—the near-total transfer of the legal system to the EU level, loss of freedoms, organized unfair competition between states, the overwhelming power of lobbies and industrial offshoring, repeated austerity policies, social regression, economic decline, loss of energy independence, loss of food sovereignty… Do you want more?

All of this has benefited a corrupt elite that orchestrates the European market in service of a voracious oligarchy enjoying all privileges. We have entered an era reminiscent of pre-Revolutionary France—limitless enrichment for a tiny minority, bottomless impoverishment for the vast majority.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2022, the "Never again" motto has lost its function as a mere fig leaf for an impending disaster.
Through war-mongering slogans, indecipherable pseudo-values, and cartoonish Russophobia, our European elites and their servile media are eager to engage—on a virtual battlefield.

Instead, they have cultivated failure: skyrocketing energy prices, Germany’s economy sabotaged in less than three years, billions of Euros wasted on weapons and various forms of support—all in vain. And, above all, by rejecting the peace agreements initiated by Belarus and Turkey in March 2022, Ukrainian leaders—pushed by Boris Johnson and the Europeans—sent their people to the slaughter.

Let us not be deceived by lofty humanist principles: where there is war, there is arms trading, business, and the enrichment of a select few.

The Trump administration estimates that half of American aid has been embezzled by Zelensky and his clique. As for Ursula von der Leyen, the SMS-gate scandal over the Pfizer contract and the corruption allegations from her time as German Defense Minister hardly make her a beacon of integrity. Yet, she has relentlessly waved the red flag, positioning herself as a war leader—completely at odds with her actual role. After all, military and defense matters remain the competence of individual states.

Having played the sidekick for the American Deep State and Biden—who had made Ukraine his personal fiefdom, even placing his son at the head of an energy company—Europeans are now under heavy fire from President Trump and his administration.

This EU, which openly took sides with the Democrats during the U.S. election, is now outraged by American interference. Yet, by highlighting Europe's democratic backsliding—particularly regarding the cancellation of elections in Romania—Vice President J.D. Vance has given significant exposure to a drift that mainstream media has conveniently ignored. He could just as easily have mentioned the EU’s attempts to influence elections in Georgia, Moldova, and Slovakia.

The major European media and leaders now claim to be humiliated for not being invited to negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine. But why should they be?
From the start of this war, they have done nothing but fan the flames, never once proposing a peace plan or mediation. Instead, they encouraged Ukraine to join NATO—a red line for Russia, no matter who governs it.

And speaking of Russia—while its invasion of Ukraine is highly questionable, no one can ignore the historical and geopolitical context, as well as the provocations Western powers have carried out against it.

Intellectuals like Emmanuel Todd (The Fall of the West), specialists like Jacques Baud (The Secret War in Ukraine), and geopolitical analysts like Pascal Boniface have, without justifying the war, depicted a complex reality—far removed from the West’s simplistic narrative of the "good Ukrainian" versus the "bad Russian." A more nuanced perspective would have elevated Europe in the eyes of the world.

And what about us, the European citizens?
A nauseating propaganda campaign—driven by certain European leaders, the belligerent NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and echoed by mainstream media—promises us the same fate as Ukraine.

"The Russians won’t stop at Ukraine!"
"They will surely invade Moldova, the Baltic states, Poland… until their tanks roll onto Brussels’ Grand Place and Paris’ Place de la Concorde!"

Don’t laugh, good people… Behind these baseless allegations lies another agenda: dragging us into a war economy.
Aren’t we already hearing calls to allocate 3% to 5% of European GDP to military spending, when even a debt-ridden country like Belgium only allocated 1.24% in 2024?

And to fund the arms dealers, the corrupt, and the corrupters, we will experience unprecedented social regression—with budget cuts in healthcare, education, pensions, welfare, and more.

If they want to avoid these apocalyptic scenarios, the European people must mobilize—for peace and, above all, against war.

Ultimately, do not forgive them—they know exactly what they are doing !
